EFN’s Reforestation Grant Program focuses on supporting communities in regaining ecological integrity and enhancing human wellbeing in deforested and degraded landscapes through forest restoration. EFN is looking for organizations that will use this workshop opportunity to connect corridors, create buffer zones, improve degraded lands, restore watersheds, and expand forest cover while also allowing local stakeholders to connect with nature and become a vested part of a larger conservation program.

The Royal Society, in partnership with the Department for International Development (DFID), will open the first round of applications for Programme Grants as part of its Royal Society - DFID Africa Capacity Building Initiative in November 2013. Applications will be invited in three priority areas:

From 12 – 19 November 2013, the UNIDO Institute and the Energy and Climate Change Branch will conduct a Professional Development Programme on Sustainable Energy Solutions. It will be organized in cooperation with the International Centre for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE) in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
